SourceForge.net just began accepting nominations for the fourth annual Community Choice Awards. SourceForge.net will be accepting nominations until May 29th, and the ten projects with the most nominations in each category will become finalists. Project Selection Criteria: Selection for the Awards will be completed in two phases. The first phase will be to nominate finalists for each of the Categories. Nominations will be accepted between May 6, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. PDT and May 29, 2009 at 4:00 PDT. Among the nominees for each of the Categories, the finalists for the Awards will be chosen. Voting for the final winners will commence on June 22, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. PDT and end on July 20, 2009 at 4:00 pm PDT. Winners: will be announced on SourceForge.net on or around July 23, 2009.


SourceForge.net: The following projects (between many others) are nominated for a 2009 Award:

  • isoccer - Soccer Game.
  • iteam - Online Worms-like game.

Ubuntumagazine will be always supporting both isoccer and iteam open source projects, but you are not restricted to nominate these two projects only. In fact, you may choose from all avayable SourceForge.net projects. To do it  for other or others, just browse and search there, at SourceForge.net website. So, please fell free to do so, if you want to.

    2008, I know but Magento is definitely awesome… people had suggested I try Zen Cart… there was nothing Zen about it… finding Magento was true Zen. Aweomse project.

    I’m very interested in seeing this year’s winners.
